Although its been months since the fashion weeks of New York and Paris, I still want to post my favorite shows of the Spring/Summer 2010 season.
st, Alexander McQueen's show; morbid prints, alien shoes, Elizabethan styling, innovative silhouettes and yet very feminine designs. Even Lady Gaga took on a few of these designs in her music video "Bad Romance".
nd, Balmain, Christophe Decarnin sure can extend his well done disco 80's party girl garb by progressing his style into the always sexy, military, rocker, thunder dome chic, disco gladiator clothing.
rd, Michael Kors. Michelle Obama is known for wearing his designs, but don't think this show was all conservative. He kicks up a few notches the sexy detailing with clear panels, strategically placed cutouts, exposing mid-drifts and one shoulders on traditional silhouettes in feminine pastels. Can you imagine wearing any of the clear panel designs to the office??
th, Marc Jacobs, what a beautiful way to layer casual wear a top ultra romantic, ruffled dresses.
th, Vera Wang, her jewelry more importantly to me in her collection was very impactful; many layers, asymmetrical, rocker and still feminine.
th, Donatella Versace turns the rocker look into a fun Alice in Wonderland bubble pop electric rendition on a sexy, untouchable, high end Barbie.
